QSA has been selected for supplying and installing a turnkey quench tank equipment for high alloyed plate with weight up to 30 tons.

For its new extension of capabilities, a well known company in the plate making market contacted QSA to be part of the huge project since the beginning ( layout design start) for the quenching part of it . Few technical proposals have been worked out and discussed with both technical engineer teams before we agreed on one. The retained solution is using one tank of capacity of 165 m3 connected to 2 storage tanks of water and polymer quenchant .

The installation has been done within 30 days and trials could be done on different sizes of plate and weight. Different grades have been also tested and water and polymer could be tested in different conditions . QSA provided and participated on the parameter settings of the quenching process until the quench tank could be validated and declared valid for the overall production.

From the initial start , some adjustment have been done slightly later on agitation to maintain the distortions of plate with thin thickness under customer specification range

Since that time , only support on control of polymer is provided to customer to assure always the same quality of quenching .
