QSA has developed and installed several turnkey projects and equipment at different location over the world.

For its new investment in steel making for producing on its own ingots of 50 tons , a leader company in the forging market contacted QSA to be part of its huge project since the beginning ( layout design start) for providing :

- The correct number of reheating furnaces required

- The most suitable size of furnace according to the production and grades to be treated

- The configuration of load according to size of ingots and grade

- The matrix of expected weekly optimized production versus the capacity of melting unit.

- The all parameter settings for each grade of steel , dimensions of ingot , and weight of load

Few technical proposals have been explored and worked out with both technical engineer teams before we agreed on one.
The retained solution has been to use 2 reheating furnaces of 100 tons maxi load for each.
The reheating furnaces included as well a cooling system to assure a controlled cooling inside the chamber when required

The installation has been executed within 40 days and trials could be done on different sizes and weight.
QSA provided through a matrix the overall settings of the furnaces for the reheating required cycles of ingot as well as the settings for the controlled cooling inside the chamber when required.
